Timothy W. Nelson
Timothy W. Nelson has a varied background in many different industries before deciding to serve the Northern Nevada community. Timothy studied at the University of Nevada, Reno and furthered his education and obtained his professional designations as CPA with the Nevada State Board of Accountancy in 1994 and CVA with the National Association of Certified Analysts in 1999. Mr. Nelson has served as the CFO, CEO, President, and other levels of executive roles for a casino-gaming establishment that grossed $25 million a year. Additionally, Timothy has worked for a high-tech NASDAQ company that had operations in 15 states and Hong Kong. Mr. Nelson worked as an executive for a division of Dole, a multinational fruit company. Later, he ran an insurance and financial services conglomerate that included a service and loan operation, two insurance companies, and two insurance brokerages. Timothy is currently president at Evans, Nelson, & Company, CPAs, founded in 2009.
steven P. handelin
Steven P. Handelin is a licensed attorney in the states of Nevada and California with over 20 years of experience in complex business transaction and acquisition matters, real property law, cannabis law, estate planning, and more. Mr. Handelin is a member of the American Bar Association, Nevada Bar Association, California (Trusts and Estates Section) Bar Association, Washoe County Bar Association, Cannabis Bar Association, and First Judicial District Court Bar Association. Steven attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he earned degrees in Financing and Marketing in 2001 with minors in Economics and Computer Information Systems. After graduation, Steven then went on to the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate, with a concentration in intellectual property in 2005. Once out of law school, he went on to clerk for the Honorable William A. Maddox in Department II of the First Judicial District Court. Steven Handelin established his firm, Handelin Law, Ltd. in 2011, which primarily focuses on asset protection, wealth preservation, and business transactions and acquisitions.
